Getting to Phillip Island

Phillip Island has so much to offer – you should plan to stay at least one night. A day trip from Melbourne and back again does not allow enough time to enjoy the island, especially if seeing the penguins.

The cheapest and easiest way to get to Phillip Island is by V/Line coach, departing Southern Cross Station four times a day.

For the more adventurous, Inter Island Ferries run three services a day from Stony Point to Cowes, via French Island. You can catch a train from Frankston to Stony Point, which meets the ferry.
